Working remotely is now widely accepted as a way of conducting business, and it’s no surprise that the demand for Remote / Virtual Freelancers has risen exponentially in the wake of global lockdowns we have all endured. But what are the benefits that come with engaging virtual support, and what are the best strategies for finding, onboarding and working successfully with VAs and Remote team members? Join Ingrid Bayer and Angela Revell who together run VA Institute and Find a VA as they lift the lid on all things Virtual, including:
Ingrid Bayer: Operating from her home office on the beautiful Mid-North Coast of NSW, Ingrid started her career in the remote working space as a Virtual Assistant in 2008. Within two years, she had grown her business to include managing and overseeing a team of VAs, and has gone on to forge a very successful VA business. In 2017, Ingrid established VA Institute of Australia drawing on all that she has learned in life and her VA business so far (which she still operates) to provide practical assistance and mentoring to other Australians who want to set up and run their own successful Virtual Assistant businesses. In 2019, Ingrid established Find a VA as a free resource for business owners to source quality certified and insured Virtual Assistants. Ingrid is active on the speaking circuit, has written three books that focus on best practice for VAs, and continues to champion the growth and development of the VA Industry founded on the principles of Excellence, Authenticity and Sustainability.
Angela Revell: Based in the beautiful seaside village of Penguin, Tasmania, Angela has a business background that includes over 20 years providing virtual assistance in both the technical and administrative space. After connecting with Ingrid and the VA Institute in early 2019, Angela joined the VA Institute team as a contractor, providing technical services. It wasn’t long before her broad skills were utilised in other parts of the company, with Angela eventually moving to the role of Global Operations Manager. In early 2022, Ingrid invited Angela to join the VA Institute and Find A VA as a Co-Director and Joint Owner. Bringing with her over two decades of experience in the every-changing technology space, Angela is heavily involved in providing tech support, streamlining business practices, setting up new software platforms & CRMs or creating websites. Whilst sharing her knowledge of all things IT, Angela guides the VA Institute around current platforms and implements new systems, along with coaching, mentoring & training to VAs and OBMs. Passionate about micro & small businesses, Angela enjoys guiding entrepreneurs, VAs and OBMs to their full potential.
