He assists clients with assignments\, licensing and the commercialisation of IP.  Tim acts for clients in enforcement of their IP against third parties as well as in responding to IP infringement demands. He acts in contentious matters including trade mark opposition hearings before IP Australia and in commencing and defending against IP litigation. \nTim advises clients in a range of industries on information and communications technology (ICT) procurement\, ICT contracts\, disputes in relation to ICT contracts and related IP\, data protection and privacy issues. As part of his practice\, he regularly advises clients in relation to failed ICT projects including legal disputes arising from those projects including legal proceedings. \nTim’s advice on data protection and privacy legislation includes privacy policies and collection statements\, data collection practices\, advice on uses and disclosures of personal data\, data sharing arrangements (including cross-border arrangements) and mandatory data breach notification. \nTim’s expertise has been recognised year on year though various directories as a Recommended Lawyer for Intellectual Property (since 2013) as well as Technology\, Media & Communications and Data Protection in The Legal 500 Asia-Pacific.  He has also received recognition in Best Lawyers in Australia and the Doyle’s Guide.
