GILLIAN COSTA A Geelong born and bred resident with a history of business management in Geelong and Victoria.
Gaining her understanding of business principles whilst working as the ‘only girl’ in the family’s fresh fruit and vegetable business, Gillian learnt resilience, resourcefulness and the importance of developing a good team with tight procedures. Gillian’s first business was in the hospitality industry, back when ‘ you lived and died completely by your own sword’. Since then she has enjoyed stints in the building and manufacturing industries and is now back in Hospitality as a Director of The EMC Group, which operates The Pier Geelong, Wah Wah Gee & Wah Bah, The Edge, Denny’s Kitchen and Geelong’s very unique Lambys Tavern. Gillian also holds board positions in the Aged Care Sector in Geelong and holds a position with State Government as Deputy Chair for the Kardinia Park Stadium Trust.
