Michelle Winckle – Director Hays-Wickle real Estate
From a single mum of two wearing a suit bought with borrowed money to a real estate dynamo – Michelle Winckle has never let convention get in the way.
Michelle has smashed through boundaries believing that anyone – absolutely anyone – can choose to live their dream. Twelve years ago Michelle was a real estate novice driving a leased BMW leased without an income to make repayments. But Michelle was determined not to have a back-up plan. Success was a decision and within three years she was a million-dollar performer. Within a year of becoming a female auctioneer in a male-dominated landscape, Michelle was in the Top 3 auctioneers of a large franchisee agency and the only female in that year’s Top 10. Consistently selling over 100 properties a year and leading 4 offices, Michelle is a proud mum of four often working with mobile in one hand and kids toys in the other – because that’s what ‘real people’ sometimes have to do, and Michelle wouldn’t have it any other way
Amanda Wilkens – Director Canny Group
From Bookkeeper to Director in the Canny Group over the last 40 years, Amanda Wilkens has seen it all. Along the way she has proactively upskilled herself, today she holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Deakin and is a qualified CPA and has a CPA public practising certificate. She is incredibly proud of the part she has played in transitioning from a family-run accounting practice to a powerhouse that offers solutions to financial security, business growth & exit strategies to name a few. Growing is never easy and so she will share with us some of these challenges.
Amanda is an Alumni of the Leaders for Geelong program and is also on the board of Encompass Community Services which started out as one of the only nine funded Disability Employment services in Australia in 1985 and are proud to be customer service leaders in delivering NDIS supports. She is also on the board of Elf Squad a Geelong based charity.
When she’s away from the office, Amanda loves spending time in the garden at home. She is often socialising with family and friends and playing ‘Ninny’ to her two young grandson’s.
