Meet Monica Meldrum co-founder of Whole Kids.

Whole Kids was founded over 13 years ago with one simple idea – to make it easier for parents to provide a healthy, happy life for their children. Fed up with foods full of artificial additives and very little nutrition, and unethically marketed to kids, Monica & husband James, decided enough was enough. It was time for a change.

Whole Kids is the first Australian food business to be certified as a B Corp and one of the founding members of B Corporation Australia. They make profits with a purpose, and their aim is to bring about long-term sustainable change in the way food is sourced, manufactured, distributed and ethically marketed to children (and families).

They also run Whole Kids Small Seeds Community Grants programme to support grassroots organisations and groups that are working hard in their local communities to improve children’s health and wellbeing through innovative and impactful projects.

Whole Kids is busy expanding into Asia and Monica will share with us some of her lessons learnt around capital raising having run two successful rounds of crowd funding.

Angela Revell:  Based in the beautiful seaside village of Penguin, Tasmania, Angela has a business background that includes over 20 years providing virtual assistance in both the technical and administrative space. After connecting with Ingrid and the VA Institute in early 2019, Angela joined the VA Institute team as a contractor, providing technical services. It wasn’t long before her broad skills were utilised in other parts of the company, with Angela eventually moving to the role of Global Operations Manager. In early 2022, Ingrid invited Angela to join the VA Institute and Find A VA as a Co-Director and Joint Owner. Bringing with her over two decades of experience in the every-changing technology space, Angela is heavily involved in providing tech support, streamlining business practices, setting up new software platforms & CRMs or creating websites.  Whilst sharing her knowledge of all things IT, Angela guides the VA Institute around current platforms and implements new systems, along with coaching, mentoring & training to VAs and OBMs. Passionate about micro & small businesses, Angela enjoys guiding entrepreneurs, VAs and OBMs to their full potential.  (IMAGE LINK)
